2019 Kia Carnival Redesign, Price, Release Date. Only because the market is shifting towards crossovers and full-size SUVs, doesn’t mean that car makers will stop manufacturing beautiful minivans. 2019 Kia Carnival is the latest example of this. Korean car giant didn’t only create an appealing MPV, but it also gave a competitor to every SUV on the market. With its size and space for six to eight passengers, it can still be one of the most popular people-movers available at a fair price. It indeed is the most beautiful one!
Kia is even going as far as advertising this vehicle as CUV (crossover utility vehicle) and with a reason. It offers a bit higher ground clearance, and with a comfy cabin it gives out that SUV feels. The third generation of this minivan was released in 2015. It quickly got outdated, but Kia decided to turn the things around. The mid-cycle refresh is on our hand for 2019 MY, and we must say it doesn’t leave much to be desired.
2019 KIA CARNIVAL UNDER THE BONNET
The base S trim of 2019 Kia Carnival drains its power from a 2.2-liter inline four cylinder diesel unit which boasts 147kW and 440Nm. The old six-speed gearbox is now replaced with a modern eight-speed automatic transmission. The base version comes only with front-wheel drive.
Above it, we have an SLi trim, which offers petrol power in the form of 3.3-liter V-6 powerplant which has 206kW and 336Nm. With more strength under the hood the fuel consumption increases. With this in mind, you might be eager to choose the diesel variant which consumes 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers while petrol unit burns 10.8 liters on the same distance.
2019 KIA CARNIVAL REDESIGN
Design-wise carnival stands out from its rivals. Like we mentioned it has that SUV feel, which is present but not defining for 2019 Carnival It looks good, much better than some of its competitors, but unfortunately in this segment looks is not in the first place. The most significant exterior update happened up front where old grille was replaced with Kia’s new trademark tiger-nose grille. Paired with new headlights, it justifies its refresh branding. Below on the bumper, you will find a new pair of fog lights with an ice-cube design which is a nice touch. On the sides, and at the back the changes are minor.
2019 KIA CARNIVAL INTERIOR

Some of the small touches you will undoubtedly notice even add some of that premium feel even on the lower trims. All seats, even those in the third row are comfortable and spacey which is one of the reasons for Carnival’s popularity.
In addition to comfort 2019, Kia Carnival comes technologically updated. It has features such as emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. It also provides passengers with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both features come as standard pieces of equipment on all trims and have an option of voice activation. Most people will be glad to hear that the infotainment system received a significant boost.
