2021 Tesla Model 3 Specs, Release Date, Price, and Performance. Of all Tesla vehicles, the 2021 Tesla Model 3 is the most affordable one. Don’t be mistaken. While it is minimalist in terms of price, its performance is anything but minimalist. The new model has proven how amazing it is as an all-electric luxury sedan. Want to know more about it? Read on. We covered the design, engine, features, pricing, and warranty of the new Model 3 just for you.

2021 Tesla Model 3 Specs

2021 Tesla Model 3 Design

Let’s start with the design. The design of the new Model 3 is just what you expect from a luxury sedan. It is sleek, modern, luxurious and of course, stylish. The front end has a smooth fascia, with sharp headlights on the edges. The front grille gives it a futuristic look, fitting for an all-electric luxury sedan. The rear end has the same design elements, with defined yet smooth lines and attractive taillights.

While the exterior design features a sleek, modern, luxurious and stylish look, the same can’t be said with the interior. The interior design is rather minimalist. Don’t get it wrong. The minimalist design does not reduce the attractiveness of the sedan. The minimalist design looks good and very, very practical.

When you are inside the Model 3, you can just notice the low and flat floor it has. The floor makes the interior not just airier but also more spacious as well, which is great. The front seating is just comfortable and supportive. However, the same can’t be said of the rear seating as the rear seating seems a bit uncomfortable and cramped.

In terms of cargo space and storage, what Model 3 has is decent. The rear seat can be split- and flat-folded, which grants more cargo space when it is needed. There are also various decent-sized cubbies and bins throughout the sedan’s cabin.

Powertrain

Now, what kind of powertrains does the 2021 Tesla Model 3 have? Every Model 3 is equipped with an electric motor at its rear, and some Model 3 also comes with an additional motor at its front. The power output depends on the wheel drive system.

The models with the rear-wheel-drive system have an output of 258 horsepower with 317 lb-ft of torque, the all-wheel-drive ones 346 horsepower with 389 lb-ft of torque, and the top models a whopping 450 horsepower with 471 lb-ft of torque, respectively.

Features

Tesla is quite generous in giving features. For Model 3, features such as automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, automatic lane changes, navigation, USB connectivity, Bluetooth, and a touchscreen in the dashboard’s center are standard.

Other features such as 20-inch wheels, upgraded brakes, summer tires, a lowered suspension, a spoiler made of carbon-fiber as well as top speed increase (from 145 mph to 155 mph) are also standard. These features used to be available from Performance Upgrade package but for the 2021 Model 3, Tesla makes it the standard.

2021 Tesla Model 3 Pricing & Warranty

There are 4 different pricing for the Model 3. The Standard Range model has a starting price of $36,000, the Standard Range Plus model $41,100, the Long Range model $51,100, and the Performance model $61,100, respectively.

Which one of these four offers the best value for money? The model with the best value for money is the Standard Range Plus. It has a driving range of 240 miles, which is enough for most drivers, and lots of features and amenities like navigation and heated front seats.

Warranty

Speaking of warranty, the overall warranty coverage offered by Tesla is one of the longest-lasting in the electric vehicle segment. For Model 3, Tesla offers a 4-year or 50,000 miles limited warranty and 8-year or 100,000 miles powertrain warranty, with additional 20,000 miles for the Long Range model. As good as it is, corrosion protection is not covered in the warranty and there is no complimentary scheduled maintenance, either.

Verdict

The 2021 Tesla Model 3 is a unique sedan. Originally meant to be an electric vehicle for the masses, now the Model 3 has become an all-electric luxury sedan. And this is obvious from the design, powertrain, and features. The design is minimalist, especially the interior, the performance is anything but minimalist. Even the base model, the Standard Range, can cover as far as 220 miles on a single charge. Overall, it is a great all-electric luxury sedan.
