The Function of Flex Seal Spray
Flex Seal sprays thicker than conventional spray paint, which is why it is effective. It slips into crevices and, after drying, creates a rubberized surface that seals off moisture, air, and water, preventing rust and corrosion. Applying a good, even coating is as easy as pointing and spraying. It genuinely fills up all the cracks and holes as you spray.
What Can Flex Seal Spray Be Used For?
Flex Seal is compatible with foundations, awnings, chimneys, vent pipes, RVs, campers, and trailers in addition to roofs, gutters, skylights, windowsills, flashings, downspouts, and flashings. It can be used on a variety of materials, including wood, glass, textiles, plastics, concrete, masonry, copper, and other metals.
When the can is kept at an ambient temperature greater than 60 degrees F, Flex Seal performs best. Surfaces between 0 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit are compatible. It can tolerate temperatures between -20 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit once applied.
Painting over Flex Seal spray will work. Flex Seal can be used on painted surfaces as well. But we do not advise putting Flex Seal spray on top of Flex Seal Liquid.
What doesn’t work with Flex Seal Spray?
On foam, we do not advise using Flex Seal. When used with Flex Seal, some foams may react adversely and warp or dissolve. We advise against utilizing it in environments with extreme heat or pressure, such as gas tanks or engine radiators. The application of Flex Seal spray to vinyl is not advised. In every case, test first.
