2021 Citroen Dispatch All-Electric: Concept, Specs, & Photos. The all-new 2021 Citroen Dispatch is going electric. This van will gain various upgrades, but its all-electric version is the highlight. Citroen plans to deliver better comfort and it will opt for an exterior redesign as well. The Dispatch model was far from a unique van in the last couple of years. It was very similar to its Peugeot Expert brother and even similar to Toyota Proace.
Now, Citroen will finally try to deliver a completely new look that will make Dispatch more unique. Beside better comfort, the interior should gain more tech and higher safety ratings. Overall, exciting times are ahead of Dispatch van and here’s what you can expect from this model in the future.
2021 DISPATCH REDESIGN
The upcoming 2021 Citroen Dispatch is available in three different lengths. However, there is only one roof height you can buy. Citroen also offers three trim levels. Everything starts with the entry-level Dispatch X and it ends with the range-topping Dispatch Enterprise Plus. All three versions will get various changes. Of course, we are talking about the exterior redesign Citroen is finally willing to deliver something unique and completely new. With that in mind, Dispatch van will get a new front fascia.
You can expect additional chrome accents around the grille. The same grille will be more premium and larger. Brand-new headlights are offered as standard. This van will wear new panels and even the rear end will be significantly changed. The current model has been based on the EMP2 or the Efficient Modular Platform 2. If Citroen will introduce new architecture or it will modify the current one, we don’t know.
SAME ENGINE LINEUP
The base trim level will continue to ride on its 1.6-liter diesel. This engine can deliver 95 horsepower and it comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. You can load optional automatic transmission. Higher output is the second version of a 1.6-liter diesel and it generates 115 hp. This unit works with a manual gearbox only, for some reason.
The most popular engine choice is the optional 2.0-liter diesel. It is available in three different outputs, 124 hp, 150 hp, and 176 hp. The most powerful output also comes with automatic transmission and steering-wheel-mounted paddles.
ALL-ELECTRIC CITROEN DISPATCH
According to the latest reports, Citroen plans to unveil three brand-new electric vans. The 2021 Citroen Dispatch is one of the models that will receive electrification. Electric vans will reach the markets by 2021.
According to the manufacturer, all-electric Dispatch will deliver a great level of comfort and quiet ride. There will be two battery sizes offering different driving ranges. A 50kWh battery will provide a 124-mile range. Moreover, the 75 kWh variant should offer almost 200 miles of driving range.
2021 CITROEN DISPATCH RELEASE DATE AND COMPETITION
The mid-size van segment is very strong, but also very confusing. New 2021 Citroen Dispatch is also a mid-size van that will introduce plenty of novelties in the coming months. Volkswagen Transporter and Mercedes-Benz Vito are the most likely competitors at the moment. Citroen will release a new Dispatch van later this year.
